As from January 2017, Culture Lab takes part in a technical assistance providing advisory and capacity building services as well as technical support to the European Commission with a view to:

– Support the continuing definition and/or adaptation of EU policies on culture in development
– Improve the quality of the EU assistance (programs and projects) on culture for development cooperation
– Enhance knowledge sharing, communication and visibility in the Culture sector.

This 2-years mission (recently extended for 2 more years until December 2021) is implemented within an international consortium composed of B&S Europe (Brussels, BE – leading organisation), CUMEDIAE (Brussels, BE) and Culture Lab (Brussels, BE), associated partners. The technical assistance is led by Gian Giuseppe Simeone, executive manager at Culture Lab.

As from February 2021 and until January 2025 this assignment is being continued under a new “Culture Advisory Services 2” contract. The new consortium, led by B&S Europe, is composed of the Brussels-based consultancies KEA and CUMEDIAE. The technical assistance is led by Gian Giuseppe Simeone, executive manager at Culture Lab.
